I met Angela by chance through a random search for ‘Supported Living groups’ on Facebook. I loved her content, and out of curiosity, I booked the free 1-hour zoom meeting with her and the rest they say is history. I warmed up to her personality; she actually made me feel like we’ve known for years.
I was a bit reluctant to pay the consultancy fee due to the fact that she was a complete stranger and I do not even know where she lives! These days you do not know who to trust with your money and another question was ‘was she going to deliver?’ She allayed my fears and gave me time to think about it and decide on what to do.
It took me 2 months (which I honestly regret now) to make a decision! I paid my first deposit, and with the kind of information and support I received from her within a week, I had to quickly complete the fee before the due date. I must say that the information and support she provides is worth more than what she charges. I know some consultants that charge exorbitantly with little or no support.
From a novice in the area of Supported Living, Angie turned me into an expert. Angie supported, motivated and boosted my confidence. She literally held my hands from day one through our weekly Zoom meetings till I stood on my feet. The good thing about her approach is that she is in charge of all you need to excel, but there is no room for laziness. The success of your business lies entirely in your hands through your efforts/hard work. Once you follow her guide religiously, you are on your way to success!
Angie was always ready to help ungrudgingly with any queries whenever I asked. She enrolled me onto the VIP Support session which was held every week via Zoom. This encourages networking with other providers and a lot of topics were covered in the sessions by Angie and some other experts.
I opened my home in February, and within one month, I was already looking for the next one! Further intriguing is the fact that Angie still provides on-going support to make sure I ran my home effectively and up to the quality standards required. She is so methodical and organised and would rejoice even more than I do whenever I got a referral. I could not have asked for a better mentor, I am glad that I took that bold step to come out my comfort zone and pursue my passion. My only regret is that I wish I had met her sooner. Angela, like her name implies is truly an angel in human form and an important asset to anyone wishing to set up their own Supported Living business.
